Lightbulb Smart Diary Suite 4.4.6.6 has been released!

This update brings better performance and fixes some issues mostly around the Schedule and Tasks areas:
    • New: Greatly reduced loading time of Schedule items
    • New: Allow setting a default category for Tasks and Notes
    • New: Add an option to show overdue Task items when SDS starts
    • New: Optionally set focus to the title control when creating a new entry in Diary, Notes and Nutrition
    • New: Make some of the dialogs resizable: Reminders, Categories, Types, Medical Alarms, Life Factor Groups, Life Factors, Schedule Categories
    • New: Add an option to export only visible Life Factors when exporting Diary entries
    • Fixed: Show recurring Schedule items in the Overview
    • Fixed: In some circumstances Schedule reminders would not come up when they should have
    • Fixed: Editing Life Factor groups would sometimes create a duplicate group
    • Fixed: Show a popup window and send a reminder e-mail for every Schedule item, not just the first one, also properly place popups on screen, so that they don't cover each other
    • Fixed: Time and date format in main list views is taken from the system settings
    • Fixed: Overdue dates in Tasks were using start dates and sometimes would not show up properly
    • Fixed: The tray icon could fail to be created sometimes when SDS is set to be launched at Windows start
    • Fixed: Context menu in Schedule would reset item selection
    • Fixed: The Reminders dialog is now independent of the main window, so that it doesn't lock up in certain circumstances when other dialogs are visible
    • Fixed: Shopping list items were not updated properly after editing in some cases
    • Fixed: Diary, Notes and Nutrition editor window titles now reflect entry title dynamically
    • Other minor fixes and enhancements

    Hi Dennis,

You've done it again my friend and made this superb application even better. It just keeps on going from strength to strength. Anyone who hasn't downloaded this yet is missing out on one hell of a program. (But then again, anyone who is reading this forum HAS downloaded it in some form or other so that last remark is probably superfluous ).

Thank you so many times thank you for everything you've done and are continuing to do.

Looking forward to trying this, especially with the second to last item on the list. Are there instructions you can point to for how to install this safely while preserving your data? Thanks in advance.

The best way to update is:

    1) close down SDS
    2) make a backup copy of your diary file
    3) download and install the latest version (making sure you're getting the same edition as you had running previously, e.g. Lite, Home, Medical or Free)
    4) after the installer finishes, run SDS and it should just work fine

If you uninstall before you install, then you will have to manually find your diary file (using the Open Diary command) the first time.

Tell you what, I think it will be the best yet.

SD is really going places I feel and 4.5 will be the first of many to include a great set of new features. I know not what of course, but I'm pretty sure there will be something for everyone here that have requested things over the last few months.

Thank you Dennis once again for everything you strive to do, it is very much appreciated, especially coming from me.
