Standing Tasks - aka Chores

So i was thinking of making a list of chores and what not, or a honey-dew list.
No real set deadline, and often repeatable.
aka. new task type: Standing.


I would want a graph of the repeatable ones to show if they are being upkept with enough frequency and whatnot.
But both the repeated and one shot Chores i would like included in an automated weekly summary/progress report, iterating what all was done each day.
Perhaps a checkbox option could toggle weather a given task's results are summarized?

This is mostly to keep track of what all kids/hired help/myself might have done around the house.

Would these tasks need to occur on a specific date (e.g. starting date)? I mean, you can have tasks even now without an end date, albeit they won't be plotted on the Gantt chart. Can you please give me an example of one such task, so that I could understand it better? Thanks!

No they would need to be specific at all about when to start.

By chores i am thinking of stuff like:Mow Lawn/Shovel Snow - seasonal
Vacuum - every few days depending on traffic
Change light bulb (specify location) - be nice to see just how long those fancy bulbs actually last
Dishes - to see who's turn it is in rotation

Speaking of rotation... is it possible to link a task to more than one person's diary?
If so, it would allow for more business application of the program as well I believe.

Ok, so let's take one of them as an example, e.g. vacuuming

You've got a task "Vacuum" set. Then, once you do that, you tick it off and it's marked with the current date/time and a new task of the same name is created and added to the task list, right?

Different diary files cannot be linked, but this is something I have been thinking about...
