I have been looking around and have not found a way to back up my data yet in case of re-install. Is there a way to back up and if so do we have a tut or something on it?

TIA

Currently, there's no real back up facilities, simply because all of your data is stored in one file (the diary file you created) and that file can easily be copied somewhere or included in your existing scheduled back ups (do you have scheduled back ups of your documents, e-mails, etc...?)

Re-installing or uninstalling does not touch your data at all, so you're safe to reinstall - after starting SDS, simply Open your existing diary and you'll have all of your data and settings there. Please note, that application-specific settings, such as window sizes and layouts and some others are deleted during uninstall, to keep your machine clean, so you will lose those when reinstalling, but they don't affect your data in any way.

Let me know if you have any specific back up needs in mind and we can discuss implementing them.

Thank you!

I have not been able to find the folder as of yet. When I try the open diary option it takes me to the sd4 folder but there is no file to open. It has a gfx folder only with no file to open in it either

It is actually the diary database file you had to create to start making entries.

If you go to Tools -> Database Maintenance, you'll see the file name there.

OK I found it thank you. I will make sure to include it in my incremental backups.

Thanks again
